A modern editorial study of the Apocalypse

Understand Revelation Today

Revelation means an unveiling. The book is not hiding its message, it is inviting you to see it. This site reads Revelation closely through the earliest Greek manuscripts, historic compiled texts, and careful cross-reference work so the text can be heard before it is sensationalized.

Can Anyone Understand Revelation?

The church has wrestled with the book of Revelation for nearly two thousand years. This site does not claim to finally crack open mysteries that have been disputed for millennia. What it does claim is that you can understand Revelation to the detail that the unveiling itself intends you to — and this site works to get to that intent.

Without compromise. Without guessing. Without sensationalizing. Just attentive listening, careful reading, prayer, and honest exegesis of the text.

That's not a new idea. Daniel did the same thing in his day. When the prophet wanted to understand the prophecies concerning Jerusalem, he turned to the writings of Jeremiah, set his face toward God in prayer and fasting, and sought understanding (Daniel 9:2-3). He didn't speculate — he read what was written and asked God to help him see what it meant.

That is where this site comes from. I'm no Daniel by any stretch — but I followed his pattern. I saw the time drawing near, I wanted to understand, and (without the ashes and sackcloth) I did what he did: I opened the scriptures, I read carefully, I fasted, and I prayed. This site is the result of that pursuit.

Revelation was given to be understood — not by the clever, but by those with wholehearted attentiveness.
